In the recent past, there has been an unprecedented upsurge in acts of aggression fuelled by cultural nationalism and communalism in India. A country that is ostensibly secular and democratic is rapidly becoming more hostile and intolerant of its cultural and religious plurality due to the divisive nature of Indian politics.

Through the course of this project, my aim was to explore the ways in which one can practice art that criticises and questions the current ruling party’s contribution towards the rising jingoism in the country, in a time where any form of political dissent or discourse is considered anti-nationalist.
