My inquiry is based in the Sharavati River Valley. Sharavati River is one of the rivers in the Western Ghats that cradle a reservoir of diverse ecosystems that are unique to the region. It is an attempt at documenting the effects of past and future developmental projects on the natural and human ecosystems that are sustained by the Sharavati River. And, how under the garb of the “greater common good”, natural resources such as land, water, forest are being appropriated and redistributed to a privileged few.
